Parking Saga , Part 2

Ok, so this is an update to my last rant on parking in our underground car park.

This morning, I found out that both cars were clamped today. Naturally
I was pissed. A few phone calls later, the clamp was removed, however

Rant: Send me your numbers...

I see on social sites, facebook.com etc, that people loose their
phones. Shit happens. But what I don't like is the whole "I lost my
phone, and all the numbers on it, please send/comment/reply with your
number!" (or in even worse grammar).

I'm not expecting everyone to have some sort of smart phone that syncs
contacts up too the cloud, but does no one back up contacts? Even I
did back in my non smart phone days. And there are lots of backup
services out there, some carriers like o2 offer their own.

Even if you don't why ask this way? Mobile number is one of the common
info fields on peoples facebook profile. If anyone on facebook needs
my number, it's there.

If it's not, send me a message asking for it. What I think makes me
uncomfortable with the mass "please send me your numbers" method, is I
find myself sort of rating my own importance to that person. Do they
want my number in particular? Wait, did they even have it in the first
place?
